Release
After months of building, breaking, and rebuilding, the app is finally something you can hold in your hand. This post is the short version of how it got here, what's in the first release, and where we're taking it next.
Knot started as a question we kept running into. Why is it so hard to find people who care about the same things you do? The groups exist. The clubs, the sessions, the local events. They're just scattered everywhere, built on tools that were never meant for them. We wanted one place for all of it.
So we built it. Most of it came together after school and on weekends, one feature at a time. The first version lived on Android. Then we started again from scratch on iOS, because we wanted Knot to feel native, fast, and clean from the first tap. There were a lot of late nights, a lot of things that broke, and a long wait staring at App Store Connect hoping the review would clear.
It did. Knot is now real, on real phones, for anyone who wants it.
Shipping doesn't feel like crossing a finish line. It feels like the first time the work belongs to someone other than us.
This is the first release, not the finished product. Android is in testing now and will follow soon. We're already working on the next set of features, and the fastest way to shape them is to tell us what you think. Reach us on Instagram or send feedback straight from the app. We're reading everything.
Knot is free on the App Store. Find your people, one tap away.
